FOUNDATIONS OF COACHING SKILLS EXTERNSHIP (FOCSE) TRAINING

All coach students, regardless of their coach training level, have the opportunity to attend the Foundations of Coaching Success Externship (FOSCE for short), which is the signature three-day event where you discover the foundations of coaching. You are guided through these foundation skills with experienced and successful coaches who have their own coaching practices. You also get to meet other like-minded people and practice the introductory coaching skills.

COURSE ACCREDITATIONS

HOW WILL I BE RECOGNISED?

INTERNATIONAL COACH GUILD (ICG) RECOGNITION

The ICG offers fifteen core competencies; within the competencies, there are levels of skill the coach develops, ranging from ‘some skill’ through to ‘strong competence’. This progress in competence occurs over the different levels of training with the us.

To be recognised by the ICG, the school and the courses must be recognised. The courses must provide a minimum of 70 hours total coaching training:

Minimum 40 hours live (synchronous) training
Minimum 30 hours recorded training

INTERNATIONAL COACHING FEDERATION (ICF) COACHING RECOGNITION - PORTFOLIO PATHWAY

The ICF offers twelve core competencies; there is only one level of competence.

To be recognised by the ICF, only the courses must be recognised. The courses must provide a minimum of 60 hours total coaching training:

Minimum 30 hours live (synchronous) training
Minimum 30 hours recorded training

Following the International Coaching Institute’s curriculum will more than prepare you for recognition with the ICF.
